Electromechanical site manager - Cambrai

I joined DV GROUP in 2006 as Head of the Electromechanical site in Cambrai. With a technical diploma (DUT) in Mechanical and Productive Engineering, and as a former CMD After-Sales Manager, my profile was very “mechanical”. I needed to strengthen my skills on the electrical side, and so I was trained for several weeks by my Business Manager and my co-workers.

My second challenge was to gain the trust of my new team and develop the Cambrai agency to make it a recognised electromechanical site! And I was able to rise to the challenge!  I am currently the manager of 12 experts with a turnover of €3 million. My role includes both management and developing skills within my site, our networks (in particular with Siemens), providing training for my team, and ensuring my employees work well together in Group operations.

The necessary qualities for this position are technical aptitude, a rigorous approach, and the ability to bring people together. What attracted me to DV GROUP was its dynamism. We are continually taking on new challenges, and new resources are made available for us to meet them. We are fortunate to work in a stable Group that lends a certain calmness to our work.

A stand-out fact? The scale of one particular project: the transfer of an extrusion machine from Nexans Marseille to the Lens site. Ten technicians were working on the project for three weeks, with some excitement, an amount of doubt, and ultimately great success!
